NEAR UA, the Ukrainian headquarters of the NEAR Protocol platform, will host an online hackathon aimed at helping Ukraine’s cultural space during the war. This was reported to ForkLog UA by team representatives.
Hackathon For Ukraine aims to find new solutions based on the NEAR protocol. Projects created within its framework must have practical application in the given conditions or be useful in the process of rebuilding the country.
The initiative aims to address cultural issues, including funding for the restoration of heritage based on 3D models, support for jobless cultural workers, and helping raise funds for zoos to feed animals.
The prize pool is $17,000 in NEAR tokens. A special prize from Roketo hackathon partners will be $3,000 in NEAR.
Developers, marketing and product experts or teams can participate.
You can register for the hackathon until May 6th. Winners will be announced on May 20.
What is NEAR Protocol, explained in ForkLog cards.
Previously, the Everstake staking platform, together with the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, launched the Save Ukraine Culture charity initiative, which aims to raise funds to preserve the country’s cultural heritage in the context of the Russian occupation.
