Google Pixel phones will get a Kenny G-inspired ringtone

To give users a more personalized experience, Google has introduced a new ringtone option for Pixel phone owners. Thanks to the latest update to the Sounds app, users can now enjoy light jazz on their devices. The update coincides with the launch of Google’s latest smartphone offering, the Pixel 7a.

A new jazz option for jazz lovers

Traditionally, Google releases a new set of ringtones every time a new Pixel phone hits the market. This time, however, they decided to focus on an outstanding ringtone: “Kenny Gingtone”. As the name suggests, this melodious ringtone contains the soothing sounds of a saxophone playing famous saxophonist Kenny G. Soft jazz and adds elegance to incoming calls.

To access the Sounds app and set a new ringtone, Pixel users can go to Settings, then Sound & Vibration, and finally Phone Ringtone. If the Sounds app has been updated to version 3.1, you’ll see “Kenny Gingtone” in the Pixel Sounds list.

But that’s not all the Pixel 7a has to offer. In addition to the new ringtone, it also introduced a special vibration feature known as Adaptive Notification Vibration. This feature, which first appeared in Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1, offers users a more personalized experience by automatically adjusting the vibration intensity for notifications and alarms.

With these new additions, Google continues to improve customization options for Pixel phone owners, ensuring their devices reflect their unique personalities and preferences. With a smooth jazz melody or adaptive vibration, users can now enjoy the added charm and personality of their Pixel smartphones.
