The novelty gets a nearly identical design as last year’s version, but this time it uses 95 percent of completely new parts. Studio Buds+ also has sweat and water protection according to the IPX4 standard.

Features of Beats Studio Buds +

  • The most interesting thing here is the Transparent option, where the case and headphones are made using translucent plastic. The design is somewhat reminiscent of the style of the company Nothing, which also has several options for similar headphones.
  • There are also two more colors in the series: black and ivory.

  • The fit of the headset has been improved by adding extra small ear cushions to the small, medium and large sizes.
  • The vents and microphone ports have been updated, the multi-functional “b” button has been redesigned, and 3x larger microphones have been added for more accurate sound capture.
  • Active noise reduction and transparency mode are also pumped here.

The Studio Buds+ use the second-generation Beats Proprietary Platform, which offers many of the same features as headphones with Apple’s proprietary chips. That’s ‘Hello, Siri’ emoticon, ‘Locator’ support, automatic switching of devices via iCloud, and waiting for ‘over-the-air’ updates. A number of similar functions are also supported for Android.

  • The earphones provide up to 9 hours of operation with active noise canceling and transparency mode turned off, and the case adds another 27 hours. In total, this provides 36 hours of battery life.
  • If the noise canceling and transparency mode is activated, the autonomy is reduced to 6 hours without charging and another 18 hours from the case.

The case charges via USB-C and does not support wireless charging. It takes two hours to fully charge the case and headset, but the 5-minute Fast Fuel function provides up to one hour of battery life on a low charge.

Price

The Beats Studio Buds+ cost $169.99, $20 more than the first generation. They are currently only available in the US, Canada, and China, but the list of countries for sale will expand in the future.
