Apple is gearing up to launch the new iPhone 15 series later this year. However, before the launch, we covered a lot of rumors and leaks about the upcoming smartphones. Now, the latest report reveals some updated design elements.

The Cupertino giant is apparently planning to make minor changes to the rear design of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max models. The news comes from an informant @Unknownz21, who shared the information on Twitter. The leak states that the brand plans to update the camera module on the back panel. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a new camera sensor arrangement that will also include a new periscope camera lens.

This new sensor will expand the zoom capabilities on the new iPhones. Although they will be exclusive to higher Pro models. Additionally, these new sensors will reportedly offer optical zoom of up to 5x or 6x. Changes have been reported in the position of the rear camera module to accommodate this new sensor. On the other hand, the more affordable iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to come with a 48-megapixel camera from the latest generation iPhone 14 Pro models.

The new layout will have an ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens that will swap places in the rear camera module. For those who don’t know, the camera between the flash and the LiDAR sensor is the one with the new periscope lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The layout has changed due to new equipment to be placed in the module.
