Earlier reports had claimed that Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S23 Fan Edition in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, a new development suggests that the Galaxy S23 FE will be released much earlier than expected. The device arrives early, with sales of the Galaxy S23 series launched earlier this year allegedly weak.

According to the Revengus informant, sales of the Galaxy S23 series dropped significantly this month (May). Compared to the performance of the Galaxy S22 series in the same period last year, it is estimated that its sales in the second quarter of this year may decrease by more than 20 percent.

It seems that the first wave of tech enthusiasts had already bought the newly launched Galaxy S23 series by March, but after that it didn’t get as much attention from other buyers as before. An insider added that due to slow sales of the S23 series, it was rumored that Samsung might announce the Galaxy S23 FE in some markets before unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. It may debut in July or August this year.

According to the tipster, the Galaxy S23 FE will be an affordable version of the Galaxy S23. It won’t take long for Samsung to get it ready and launch it, as its specs won’t be much different from the S23.

Reports have revealed that the Galaxy S23 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, have 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The device will be backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The S23 FE will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display on the front. A 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support will be installed on the back of the device.
