Lots of Hz and lots of RAM
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12T Pro is an edge and flat screen terminal with a simple design. On the back we find nothing but the name of the brand and the camera module with two large lenses on the left and a smaller lens on the right. Available colors are black, white and pearl blue, at least in China. It is also worth mentioning the side fingerprint reader, typical Xiaomi infrared sensor and headphone jackIt reappears even though it is in danger of extinction.
For the front, Xiaomi opted for a 6.6-inch LCD panel (not AMOLED) in 20.5:9 format, so we’re dealing with a rather tall device. Its resolution is FullHD+, nothing new, but what’s really striking is, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is compatible with several points, 30, 48, 50, 60, 90, 120 and 144 Hz, so its refresh rate adapts to different types of content relatively easily. It also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
Under the hood, the Chinese company has put together Size 8200 Ultra From MediaTek, a SoC that reaches 3.1 GHz and is manufactured in a four-nanometer process. This includes Mali-G610 GPU and 580 APUs and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. At least on paper, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be short on power.
All this is brought to life by a battery. 5,080 mAh with 67 W fast chargingIn addition to MIUI 14 running on an Android version that can be expected to be Android 13 without being approved by the company. In terms of connectivity, WiFi 6, 5G on both SIM cards, NFC, USB type C and the aforementioned infrared sensor and mini-jack port.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning the cameras. Redmi Note 12T Pro has a set of sensors already known to everyone. 64 megapixel main sensor, eight megapixel wide angle and two macro. As for video, the highest quality offered is 4K at 30 FPS, but not 60. The front camera, hidden in a hole in the screen, stays at 16 megapixels with the ability to record up to FullHD at 60 FPS.
