OnePlus tested in a new endurance test

OnePlus finally launched its first Android tablet in February 2023. The device was praised for its features, but many critics felt it was outstripped by the Android software. In a recent review, JerryRigEverything, a YouTube channel known for smartphone and tablet endurance tests, put the OnePlus Pad to the test. The tablet tested well, withstanding scratches, bending and heat.

JerryRigEverything started its endurance test with the OnePlus Stylo. This pen is pretty standard, but has some standard features like copper coils for wireless charging and a real battery. The durability test was carried out with the OnePlus Pad with scratches as usual.

The tablet was “Scratched at level 6 and left deeper grooves at level 7.” This is a pretty standard result and one of the limits of the technology we have today. This is the maximum durability you can achieve as long as your device’s screen is not protected by sapphire instead of glass.

The tablet passed the burn test, but really shined in the bending test. As you know, size isn’t always an advantage when it comes to structural integrity, especially for smartphones and tablets. We’ve seen in previous testing that the screen can be a weak point and the bezels can break under pressure.

This is especially true for iPad models. However, the OnePlus Pad is different. It is made of a stronger material that makes it more resistant to bending. JerryRigEverything went through a tough cornering test and was a hit.
