Samsung admits problems with its smartphones camera

Samsung has promised to fix the problem of excessive blurring of photos taken with the camera of Galaxy S23 series smartphones. This was reported by the Android Authority.

Representatives of the company said on its website in Poland that the company has acknowledged the problem and will fix it in a future update. According to journalists, users drew attention to camera malfunctions of Galaxy S23 smartphones in April. It turned out that when taking pictures of objects up close, blurry areas resembling bananas appeared in the photos. In this context, the issue was named Bananagate.

Samsung engineers stated that the blurring issue is related to the high-speed lens designed to take high-quality photos in low-light conditions. However, algorithms that process images can work with errors.

As a temporary measure, company representatives suggested that users shoot objects from a distance of at least 30 centimeters. Samsung engineers also advised consumers to take pictures by holding the smartphone vertically.
