MacBook Air specifications

The thickness of the new model is 11.5 millimeters, which according to Apple makes it the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop. It has two USB-C Thunderbolt ports (supports an external display with resolutions up to 6K at 60Hz), a MagSafe charging port, and a headphone jack. The notebook will be available in midnight (black), starlight (gold), space gray (gray), and silver (silver).

It will also be powered by an Apple M2 chip with an octa-core processor, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine.

• The 15.3-inch LED-backlit IPS display with a five-millimeter bezel has a brightness of 500 nits and a resolution of 2880×1864.
• There’s also a 1080p HD FaceTime webcam and three microphones with “advanced beamforming algorithms.”
• There are six speakers: two tweeters and two more forced woofers with surround sound and Dolby Atmos.
• Like previous MacBook Air models, the new 15-inch MacBook Air will be fanless.
• The amount of RAM can be configured up to: 24 gigabytesand driver – – 2 terabytes.

Apple claims the new Air will be 12 times faster than Intel’s fastest MacBook Air models and will offer up to 18 hours of battery life. 25% brighter, 40% thinner, twice as fast and half a kilo lighter than the “most popular 15-inch Intel Core i7 laptop”.

When it launches this fall, it will run the macOS Ventura operating system, followed by macOS Sonoma.

Price

The cost of the new model 1299 dollars ($1,199 for educational institutions) and will be available next week.

Meanwhile, Apple is updating the price of its smaller model, with the M2 index now starting at $1,099 for the 13-inch MacBook Air and the base M1 Air model starting at $999.
