Redmi has prepared a new device for its series numbered Redmi 12. A recent leak revealed that the design of this device is very similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. Now, a new report has emerged detailing the pricing, color options and availability of the Redmi 12.

Consultant Paras Guglani, in collaboration with NewzOnly, reports that the Redmi 12 is expected to be priced around $155 for the base version that offers 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The speaker also suggests that the Redmi 12 may launch and be available in the next 10 days.

It is also reported that the Redmi 12 will be available in three attractive colors: blue, black and silver. These color options will be sold as Sky Blue, Midnight Black and Polar Silver respectively.

Redmi 12 specs and features

The Redmi 12 is said to have a 6.79-inch LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It will have a hole punch notch in the center and a 90 Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and touch sensitivity.

The device is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset that provides potentially good performance along with a Mali G52 GPU. It is expected to be available in 4GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage variants with the option to expand the memory using a microSD card slot.

The Redmi 12 is said to run MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 and offers users familiar software with possible customization options. In terms of photography, rumors suggest it could be equipped with a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and secondary 2MP sensor, along with an LED flash. An 8-megapixel front camera is expected for selfies.

If the rumors are true, the Redmi 12 may have a 5,000mAh battery that will provide ample battery life. It can support 18W fast charging via USB Type-C port, providing convenient charging. The dimensions are estimated to be around 168.60×76.28×8.17mm, and the weight is around 198.5 grams, potentially indicating a thin and light design.
