Nokia G42 5G spotted on Geekbench running Android 13

Nokia introduced several new smartphones in the US this month, including the rugged XR21 with an “unbreakable” design. HMD Global may soon launch a new affordable G-series smartphone called the Nokia G42 5G. The smartphone was recently spotted on the Geekbench website running Android 13 and an unknown Qualcomm processor.

New Nokia G42 5G could be launched soon

The Nokia G42 was recently spotted on Geekbench with its key specs. The phone is listed on the benchmark site with a Qualcomm quad-core processor clocked at 1.90 GHz. There is also a fast dual-core cluster running at 2.21 GHz. While we don’t know the exact name of this processor, it is expected to be a lower mid-range SoC.

This is evidenced by the current account. The Nokia G42 managed to score 738 points in single-core tests and 1718 points in multi-core tests. The Geekbench listing also shows that the smartphone is getting at least 4GB of RAM and running Android 13 software out of the box. That’s all the information we got from this list.

Earlier reports had claimed that the Nokia G42 will also come with a 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The smartphone has a screen resolution of 1612 * 720 and will be available in purple and gray colors. You can still guess the other details of the smartphone. We hope to learn more in the coming days.

As we mentioned above, Nokia recently launched its rugged XR21 smartphone in the US, which has MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability, IP68 water resistance, and IP69K dust resistance certification. It is powered by a Snapdragon 695 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
