Tecno has had a busy year in India so far with the launch of a few smartphones in the region like the Camon 20 series. Apart from that, the brand is apparently preparing to launch a 4G device called Tecno Pova 5 4G in the Indian market soon.

Tipster Paras Guglani showed off a live image of the smartphone showing off its design. The back of the device looks mostly flat, with a trapezoidal camera module housing two large lens mounts, a smaller lens, and a flash module. The tipster shared how the device will look from the front in another image. With a similar notch and a symmetrical bezel around the screen, it’s pretty easy to say that the display is inspired by the Apple iPhone.

The whistleblower hinted that the device, powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, will be launched for both the Indian and global market. Other features are still kept secret.

Tecno Pova 4 Features

The Pova 4 features a 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole design that offers HD+ resolution, 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 12 with HiOS 12.0 overlay and enables smooth streaming of HD content on Widevine L1 enabled OTT platforms.

The Pova 4 is powered by Tecno’s Helio G99 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also includes a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The device packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and 10W reversible wireless charging.

For photography, it boasts an 8-megapixel front camera with LED flash and a 50-megapixel primary camera at the back, AI lens and dual LED flash. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and dual 4G VoLTE connectivity options.
