Nubia, the ZTE-backed brand known for its gaming-focused products, is now gearing up to launch another gaming smartphone. Interestingly, the upcoming Nubia Neo gaming smartphone will not be powered by a Qualcomm or MediaTek chip, but will rely on a Unisoc SoC to power the device.
The Nubia Neo gaming smartphone, which the company has confirmed will be available for pre-order in the Chinese market from June 20, will be powered by the Unisoc T820 processor.
According to the report, the chipset includes 1 ARM Cortex-A76 core running at 2.7GHz, three Cortex-A76s cores running at 2.3GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.1GHz. As for the graphics part, the chipset will be equipped with a Mali-G57 MC4 GPU.
From the specs, it seems that the upcoming Nubia Neo gaming smartphone is far from the RedMagic lineup, but the company has focused on its design to make the phone look like a gaming device.
The Nubia Neo gaming smartphone will be the company’s budget offering and will be available for pre-order in China from June 20. It is also reported that the phone will be released in the global market, but not much is known about it at the moment.
