Nokia is reportedly working on a mid-range phone called the Nokia G42. The device was recently spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench and has now appeared in the database of the Bluetooth SIG body. As you can see in the screenshot below, another Nokia phone called the Nokia G310 5G has also received Bluetooth certification.

The Bluetooth SIG certification confirms that Nokia phones with model numbers TA-1573 and TA-1591 / TA-1581 will launch as Nokia G310 5G and Nokia G42 5G. Alongside revealing support for Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, the Bluetooth listings of both phones have revealed their key specs.

According to the Bluetooth listing, the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G will feature a 6.5-inch V-notch LCD panel. The screen will support 720 x 1612 pixel HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90 Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 560 nits. The screen will be protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3.

Under the hood of both smartphones will be Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G chipset. Both devices will come with Android 13 pre-installed.

A Nokia G42 5G with 4GB of RAM was spotted on Geekbench. Other reports also claim that it will come with a 6GB RAM variant and will offer up to 128GB of storage. At this time, there is no information about the camera configuration or the battery size of the device. As seen above, the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G share the same screen and chipset. It is currently unknown whether the other features of these phones will be the same or different.
