In June 2022, ZTE launched the Blade A72 smartphone for the European market. The device had 4G connectivity, an entry-level 4G chipset, a large battery, and an affordable price. Now the brand has launched its successor, the Blade A72s, but it’s more expensive and has some compromises.

ZTE Blade A72s specs and features

ZTE Blade A72s features a large 6.75-inch display with HD+ resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera is housed in an inconspicuous drop-shaped cutout, and the screen is framed by large bezels.

Inside, the phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor similar to its predecessor. This powerful chip is paired with 3GB of RAM and a large 128GB of internal memory. Users also have the ability to expand the internal memory using a microSD card.

The camera capabilities of the ZTE Blade A72s have been significantly improved and it is now equipped with a triple camera consisting of a 50 MP main lens and two 2 MP lenses. For comparison, its predecessor, the Blade A72, had a 13MP+2MP+2MP configuration. The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 22.5W charging. It’s worth noting that this marks a significant drop over last year’s model, which has a larger 6,000mAh battery.

Prices and availability

The recently launched ZTE Blade A72s is now available to buyers in Europe and is available in two stunning colors: Space Gray and Skyline Blue. It’s important to note that at its €170 price, this is €50 more than last year’s model.
