Honor has officially announced that the Honor X50 will launch in China on July 5 at 19:30 (local time). Along with the announcement, the company released a poster showing the rear design of the smartphone. Considering the previous confirmation of the Honor ALI-AN00 by Chinese TENAA in May, this strongly suggests that the Honor X50 will likely be the same device.

The poster below shows a first look at the rear design of the Honor X50, which will be the successor to last year’s Honor X40. Like its predecessor, the X50 features a circular camera island with two cameras and an LED flash.

Honor has printed “Matrix AI Vision Camera” in the middle of the Honor X50 camera. The frame of the camera module confirms that the device is equipped with a 108-megapixel main camera with a sensor size of 1/1.67 and an aperture of f/1.75. Besides being spotted on TENAA, the X50 has also been spotted in 3C certification with a 35W charger.

According to the TENAA listing, the Honor X50 will feature a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with 2652×1200 pixels Full HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB RAM. It will have a 5,700 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup on the back. It will run on Android 13 based on Magic UI.

In related news, Honor is reportedly working on the Honor Magic V2 foldable phone and Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet. According to the latest report, both devices will be launched in August this year.
