Honor plans to launch the Honor X50 mid-range phone in the Chinese market on July 5. It is also reported that the company may announce two foldable phones in China on July 12. The confirmation from China’s MIIT organization indicates that Honor’s foldable phones will be launched in the near future.

Honor Magic V2 series certified by MIIT

In May, the MIIT organization approved one of Honor’s foldable phones with model number VER-AN10. It was later spotted on the 3C certification platform with a 66W charger. Now, another Honor foldable phone with model number VER-AN00 has been confirmed by MIIT.

According to information from WHY LAB, one of them will be called Honor Magic V2, which will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC. It was also reported that the other model will most likely be called the Honor Magic V2 Supreme Edition and will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

So far, reports have revealed that the Honor Magic V2 will feature a custom-made foldable 2K LTPO display with high frequency dimming support. The device is likely to have a 5,000mAh dual-cell battery that will support 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Magic V2 is said to have a thinner and lighter design like the Mate X3, measuring 156.9×72.4×11.8mm when folded and weighing around 240 grams. The Magic V2 is expected to compete with the foldable phones Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 and OPPO Find N3, which will soon enter the Chinese market.
