The Redmi-branded smartphone, Redmi Note 12R, which Xiaomi has recently launched, is finally on sale in China. The Redmi Note 12R will go on sale in China today (i.e. June 30) with a starting price of 1,099 yuan, which means roughly $152.

The smartphone has a 6.79-inch LCD panel with a centered hole for the camera sensor. It offers Full HD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and DC Dimming.

Under the hood, the device runs on the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset that offers 5G connectivity. It includes up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

In the camera department, there is a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calls. The phone runs Android 13 operating system with its own MIUI 14 UI on top. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
