The factory original 2007 iPhone goes up for auction starting tomorrow and is expected to sell for $100,000. While other original iPhones have sold out in recent months, this is the first model to feature 4GB of storage instead of 8GB.

As auction site LCG Auctions explains, the “iPhone” was originally sold with 4GB or 8GB of storage when it was released 16 years ago on June 29, 2007. The 8GB model was much more popular, causing Apple to discontinue the 4GB model after just a few years. months in favor of a larger 16GB capacity.

This is the rarest of the first generation ‌iPhone‌ models, as the original 4GB ‌iPhone‌ is only available for a limited time. “Given our recent record sales and the fact that the 4GB model is probably 20 times rarer than the 8GB model, it wouldn’t surprise us that it set a new selling price,” said Mark Montero, founder of LCG Auctions.

According to LCG Auctions, the person selling the “iPhone” was part of the original engineering team when the “iPhone” was released and comes with a source letter. The 4GB model retails for $499, while the 8GB version retails for $599.

This year alone, an original 8GB “iPhone” sold for $63,000 in February, while a second original “iPhone” with 8GB storage was sold for $54,000 in March. LCG Auctions also sells an original “iPhone” 8GB and an original “iPhone” 16GB, both factory sealed. Auctions will start on 30 June and run until 16 July.
