DxOMark recently shared the results of its screen test on another new smartphone model. This time, the company tested the company’s first foldable smartphone, the Google Pixel Fold. However, the brand appears to have hit gold on its first try.

Google Pixel Fold takes the throne in DxOMark display test

According to DxOMark, the search engine giant’s Pixel Fold took first place in both Ultra Premium and Global rankings. The device, which received 151 points from the screen test, managed to outperform all other smartphones tested by the company. The device received praise for the color reproduction of the display in most lighting scenarios.

It also managed to deliver excellent HDR10 video and a decent level of brightness under most conditions. The only issue with the screen was the lack of sufficient brightness after a few minutes of outdoor use, but the overall readability, colors and viewing experience were highly rated. However, despite such high indicators in the display segment, the device could not even enter the top 20 in camera tests.

Pixel Fold ranked 28th in the world with just 133 points. But overall, it was a pretty strong smartphone in terms of photography. Interestingly, the Google Pixel Fold ranked first in the DxOMark display test, and at the same time, many users were complaining about the device’s display problems. Owners of the device have complained that problems with the internal display caused the display to not work and even turn off in some cases.
