In the line of Samsung smartphones, a new problem has arisen with the appearance of a white line on the screen. This time, the issue affected the Samsung Galaxy A71, which broke away from the previous green, pink or purple line states seen on flagship models like the Galaxy S20 Plus, Note 20 Ultra and S21 Ultra.

Similarities to previous screen issues on Samsung flagships

A user took to Twitter to report that his Samsung Galaxy A71 has a white vertical line on its screen. It was noteworthy that before the appearance of the line, the device did not fall and was not damaged. In response to the issue, Samsung requested the user’s contact information via direct message, following the normal protocol it uses to handle consumer complaints.

The incident took place shortly after Samsung offered a free screen replacement to Galaxy Note 20 Ultra users who were experiencing green and pink line issues after the June 2023 software update. The problem is spreading beyond India and appears to affect various Samsung models equipped with Samsung Display’s OLED screens.

Although Samsung has not officially acknowledged the problem, the quick replacement of affected OLED screens and batteries for free indicates a possible malfunction in the software or the display itself. The appearance of a white line on the Galaxy A71 screen highlights that the root causes of these screen problems need to be investigated further.
