We still have a long way to go (if Google respects normal launch times) to meet the Google Pixel 8. OnLeaks details leaked the design of this phoneSays goodbye to its curved screen. However, there were no actual photos of the Pixel 8 beyond renders based on leaked factory plans.

According to new sources, OnLeaks has been confirmed to be right (no surprises here). New real images of a supposed prototype of the Pixel 8 confirm this: the panel will be flat and the camera will take a big step forward.

It hasn’t been a year that real images of Pixel prototypes haven’t been leaked. And every year, these images are tracked according to the latest model. Although the information has to be taken with tweezers because it is leaked, it overlaps with the information that OnLeaks has already leaked.

In the first picture it can be seen that we are dealing with a flat panel. Last year, the Pixel 7 Pro’s panel had a pretty noticeable curve. So much so that it was one of the weakest points of the device in the face of shadows and possible phantom vibrations. The central hole is preserved and both Quad HD+ resolution and technologies are expected AMOLED and LTPO.

Pixel 8 Pro will once again be a bet for mobile photography

The rear shows us a relatively similar design to last year’s model, but we’ve enlarged it and lenses are bigger. Starting from the left we have the ultra wide angle camera, the main sensor (aiming to have a larger sensor) and finally a periscope camera for optical zoom.

Design filtration does not come by itself. Sources also point to preliminary data about the possible battery and standard version of the Pixel 8 Pro. According to the latest information available, the Pixel 8 will come with a 4,485mAh battery and 24W fast charging. Pixel 8 Pro would bet on 4,950mAh and 27W fast charging.

To put it in context, last year the numbers were 20W on the Pixel 7 and 23W on the Pixel 7 Pro. Ridiculous data compared to the current high-end, but Google along with Apple and Samsung continue to refuse to bet on charging lightning. fast.

The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to arrive at a Google hardware event in October, where we’ll most likely see news from the rest of the product family.
