Sony has officially announced not only its flagship phone, the Sony Xperia 1 IV, but also a more affordable smartphone called the Sony Xperia 10 IV. Sony Xperia 10 IV received a branded 6-inch OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution. Now a brighter Triluminous panel, 50% brighter than before, according to Sony. The refresh rate is still 60 Hz, but Sony now uses Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV measures 154x67mm and weighs 161g, while Sony positions it as the lightest phone on the market with 5G support and a 5000mAh battery. No charger in the box this year for environmental reasons. The smartphone supports 30 watts of charging.

The smartphone is based on the 6-nanometer single-chip Snapdragon 695 system. The Sony Xperia 10 IV is equipped with a 12-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The main camera received optical image stabilization. Sony has also added many new features such as advanced auto mode, auto HDR, special night mode and AI-based face sharpening for selfies.

Sony Xperia 10 IV has two front speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sony also offers support for LDAC, 360 Audio and 360 Reality Audio Upmix, which can convert stereo sound to surround sound. The phone meets IP68 protection and runs Android 12 out of the box. The Sony Xperia 10 IV is available in black, white, mint and lavender. It will go on sale in June at a price of 500 euros. Source
