20 days. Not one more, not one less. Samsung has officially made its announcement. Unpacked GalaxyIt will be held on July 26 at 13:00 Spanish peninsula time. For this event, we’re expecting the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which are major refreshes to its foldable family from the South Korean giant.
As always, the Samsung event can be followed both on the official page of the manufacturer and on YouTube. We will also be doing a full coverage of the event from Xataka.so you stay informed of every innovation they offer.
First of all, we are waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. According to the latest leaks, we are talking about a phone that will be very compatible with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which we were able to test last year. New processor from Qualcomm, improvements to the discord crease, and a slight redesign built on the previous model. Samsung’s so-called folding book genre is reinventing itself and continuing its reign in a format that it heavily controls.
Major changes will be to the best-selling model, both because of its format and its more affordable price. Recent leaks point to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with a much larger outer display to rival alternatives like Motorola’s Razr 40 Ultra or OPPO’s Find N2 Flip.
Samsung’s foldables won’t come alone: the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra are also expected: a complete revamp of the high-end tablet family.
Currently, Samsung is not doing badly with foldables, and this is still driving sales in the marginal region. The new models will be a great opportunity to further strengthen this foundation. The mystery of price remains to be solved, and folders need to keep dropping their last tickets if they want to aspire to become mainstream products. On July 26 we will drop the doubts.
