Onur has been very busy this month. Yesterday, the company unveiled the Honor 90 and Honor Pad X9 in Europe, and the Honor X50 in China the day before that. Next week, the brand will launch the Magic V2 in its home country along with many other exciting products. While waiting, a new smartphone from the Chinese brand was spotted online on the TDRA website. The Honor X6a may soon enter the international market as the economic model of the series. Details are here.
Honor’s X series is packed with mid-range products that offer value for money, and the Honor X50 is the latest. However, in the model range there are quite decent budget models. Honor X7a and Honor X8a are some examples. A new device, the Honor X6a, is likely to join these phones soon. It was recently spotted on the TDRA website with the model number WDY-LX2, hinting that it will soon be released worldwide.
Honor’s approach to naming looks very different from many other brands. Generally, phone manufacturers use a sequential naming convention where each new model has a higher number than the previous model. This means that the X Phone 1 will be the successor to the X Phone 2. But when it comes to Honor, the opposite is true. The company has already launched the Honor X7a and is currently working on the Honor X6a.
In any case, we don’t know any specifics of the Honor X6a yet. The affordable smartphone could be the successor of the Honor X7a, which comes with the MediaTek Helio G37 processor. It also has a 6.75-inch TFT LCD screen along with a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back. The device is powered by a 5330 or 6000 mAh battery depending on the region.
