What is known about the construction of the building

The iconic MSG Sphere was designed by architecture firm Populous, known for its contributions to some of the world’s most famous sports arenas. This impressive structure cost $2.3 billion to build, making the job very difficult in the context of the financial strains caused by the pandemic.

The 18,000-seat concert hall, scheduled to open on September 29, will kick off its opening program with “U2: UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere”, a 25-concert series in honor of iconic Irish band U2’s 1991 album Achtung Baby. . Tickets for this grand event start at $140.
