The Honor Magic V2 will launch on July 12 in China as the thinnest foldable smartphone. The successor to the Magic Vs could beat the thinnest phone available

The Honor Magic V2 will launch on July 12 in China as the thinnest foldable smartphone. The successor to the Magic Vs could beat the thinnest phone available – the Huawei Mate X3 – and set a new precedent. As we get closer to the launch, Honor has started to release more information about the device and you can see the camera samples in the latest development. The company has also made equally bold claims.

Camera samples shared by Honor’s head of product line show a beautiful sunset in Beijing. The pictures look pretty detailed, but we’ll let you decide the quality. It may be worth noting that the images released by official people often do not show the real capabilities of the phones’ cameras.

Magic V2 is lighter than iPhone 14 Pro Max

Honor praised the lightness and thinness of the Magic V2. The smartphone does indeed seem to live up to these claims, as the company is now comparing it to the 240 gram iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The foldable device is expected to bring modern hardware. It can be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The company may also release a Premium Edition of the device equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Although we don’t talk much about the screen of the Magic V2, it is said to have a 7.9-inch foldable LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution. The smartphone may also have a 50MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor on the back and can run Magic OS 7 right out of the box.
