Oppo has officially announced the Oppo A78 4G smartphone in Indonesia after multiple sources. The company plans to launch this phone in other international markets as well, including India, in the near future.

Features of Oppo A78 4G

Oppo A78 4G has a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Users can expect a smooth visual experience with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The front of the phone has a cutout in the upper left corner with a hole for the front camera.

Under the hood of the Oppo A78 4G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC processor. It was launched in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Also, the device supports 8GB of virtual RAM. The device is powered by a reliable 5000mAh battery with SuperVOOC 67W fast charging. According to the company, the phone can reach an impressive 76% battery capacity within 30 minutes after charging.

On the photography front, the rear camera setup consists of a 50MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP bokeh lens. Key features of the Oppo camera include 108MP ultra-sharp image mode, dual video mode and Bokeh Flare portrait mode. Selfie lovers will appreciate the 8 MP front camera sensor.

Oppo A78 4G comes preloaded with Android 13 customized with Oppo ColorOS 13.1. Other key features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, ultra-loud sound mode and NFC support.

Prices and availability

Oppo A78 4G is available in two color options, Sea Green and Black Fog. It is available in a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device costs IDR 3,599,000 (~$236). Customers in Indonesia who purchase the phone from Oppo’s official online store will also receive a free pair of White Enco Buds2 headphones.
