According to famous informant Max Jambor, OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, in the Chinese market in December 2023. A global launch is expected in early 2024. This follows the launch of the OnePlus 11 earlier in the year. Details of the December launch were also previously reported by a Chinese whistleblower.

OnePlus 12 specifications (expected)

Various insiders pointed to various features of the upcoming OnePlus 12. Specifically, it is expected to support 150W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. According to Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo informant, the device is likely to feature a curved 2K OLED display with a center-mounted punch-hole selfie camera, thin bezels and a symmetrical design.

OnLeaks has recently released renders that suggest the OnePlus 12’s design will largely mirror its predecessor with minor changes. The phone appears to have a slim glossy black body and signature sandstone finish, volume rockers on the left edge and a power button and notification slider on the right. The device is also expected to have a periscopic lens.

According to rumors, the new model is also equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which shows significant potential in terms of performance and energy efficiency. OnePlus 12 is expected to offer an improved display and a new image sensor.

In addition to the OnePlus 12, the company is reportedly working on its first foldable phone called the OnePlus Open. Reports initially suggested a release in early August, but recent information points to an announcement by the end of August.
