In May, Honor introduced the Honor Play 40 5G smartphone in China. Now, the brand has quietly introduced its new phone called Honor Play 40C. Here’s a look at the device’s specs, features, and price.
Features and functions of Honor Play 40C
Honor Play 40C features a 6.56-inch teardrop-shaped LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also offers a 90Hz touch sampling rate and 70% NTSC color gamut.
On the front of the Play 40C is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. At the back, there is a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash. The device is preloaded with Android 13 based on MagicOS 7.1 interface.
The Honor Play 40C is powered by a Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset and a powerful 5200mAh battery with 10W charging. The device is equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
The Play 40C has other features like dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB-C port, side fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm audio jack. With a thickness of only 8.35 mm and a weight of 188 grams, the phone has an elegant and lightweight design.
Honor Play 40C is almost identical to Play 40 5G. The only major difference between the two phones is that the Play 40C has a single 13-megapixel camera, while the Play 40 5G has a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera.
Honor Play 40C price and availability
Honor Play 40C is available in three attractive colors: Magic Night Black, Ink Jade Green and Sky Blue. It is only available in 6GB + 128GB model and costs RMB 899 (~$126). For comparison, the same Play 40 5G configuration costs 1,380 yuan (~$193).
