Chinese rugged smartphone maker AGM has unveiled a new budget smartphone in China. Named AGM Z1, it is powered by a UNISOC T606 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The UNISOC T606 chipset is an entry-level octa-core processor with two large ARM Cortex A75 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex A55 cores clocked up to 1.6GHz. The chipset includes an LTE modem, a 1600 MHz LPDDR4X memory controller, a 650 MHz ARM Mali G57 MP1 GPU, and a triple-core ISP. UNISOC T606 was manufactured by TSMC using the 12 nm process.

The AGM Z1 smartphone is available in two color variants, Night Gray and Dark Blue. The smartphone has a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS display with a thickness of 8.55 mm and a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. It also weighs just 190g. The screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and its 4900mAh battery supports 10W charging.

As for the camera setup, the AGM Z1 has a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP front camera and a 5cm micro lens. The smartphone runs Android 13 out of the box and supports fingerprint recognition and face unlock. It also includes a 3.5mm audio jack, dual standby and stereo speakers.

The AGM Z1 smartphone is available on e-commerce platform JD.com for RMB 599 (~$64). After the first sales, the price will increase to 699 yuan ($98). Global availability and pricing information for the AGM Z1 smartphone is currently not available.
