YouTube is the most popular video platform in the world and is preparing to introduce a feature that will further improve the video watching experience of its users. This feature can be similar to the audio normalization we see in Spotify.

With the innovation the platform is working on; It can be said that it aims to improve the music experience of the users by making the sound of the videos smoother. The function can be translated as “stable sound” in Turkish.“Stable volume” is called.

It’s not known when the feature, which is believed to be currently being tested, will be available to everyone.

You have noticed that while watching different videos on YouTube, the sound levels are different. The platform aggregates videos from millions of creators, making it very difficult to maintain volume consistency across billions of videos.

Platforms such as Apple and Spotify can already remedy audio peaks. In fact, there are several applications to solve exactly this problem on phones and computers. Youtube, however, did not have this option.

It seems that the addition of this new tool will help overcome such sound differences. However, there is no clear information on how the feature will make changes.

From the incoming screenshots, in Android users we can see what it looks like. The feature, which we believe will provide a more balanced viewing and listening experience, is located in the top right when watching videos. via the settings icon can be activated.

We don’t know when Stable Volume will debut in a big way. However, some users say they are starting to see the feature in their apps. This is an indication that the company is testing the feature before rolling it out globally. We’ll see what exactly Stable Volume will do in the future.
