iQOO is expected to announce the iQOO Z8 smartphone series in China by the end of this month. After that, the company is expected to focus on the iQOO 12 series, which is expected to launch before the end of this year. In a new leak, the digital chat station has revealed the primary camera of the iQOO 12.

iQOO 12 will receive a 50 MP main camera

According to a new leak, the iQOO 12 will be equipped with the 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H camera that was unveiled at CES 2023 earlier this year. This camera has a 1/1.28 inch sensor with a pixel size of 1.2 µm. On the other hand, details about the main camera of the iQOO 12 Pro are still hidden.

As for other specs, reports suggest that the iQOO 12 will feature a flat AMOLED panel with 2K resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the iQOO 12 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

This upcoming device is expected to be available in two configurations, one with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and the other with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. While the exact battery capacity has not been disclosed, the iQOO 12 is said to support 100W fast charging, meaning the battery size exceeds 5,000mAh.

In related news, the Indian arm of iQOO has confirmed that it will announce the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in India on August 31st. The device is reported to have a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with curved edges, Dimensity 7200, a 4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charging, a 16MP front camera and a 64MP dual rear camera setup.
