iPhone 14 users report rapid battery drain

The iPhone 14 series has been around for less than a year, but some users are already reporting battery health issues. More and more people are noticing that the battery life of their phones is decreasing faster than previous generations. In some cases, the battery charge decreased by 10%. This is worrisome as it suggests the iPhone 14 battery may not last as long as previous models.

iPhone 14 battery drain problem

CreativeBloq initially reported that many iPhone 14 users took to social media to complain about their battery life. Sam Kohl of Apple news agency AppleTrack said the iPhone 14 Pro’s battery health had reached 90% in less than a year, calling it “unacceptable”.

Another user, Andrew Clare, also revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro’s battery has lost 10% in almost a year, compared to 15% in the two-year-old iPhone 14 Pro. Responses to Sam and Andrew Clair’s posts tell a similar story, with many iPhone 14 users reporting that the battery is draining fast. By contrast, older iPhones seem to be in much better shape.

There is no clear explanation as to why iPhone 14 users experience rapid battery drain. This may be due to the person’s usage patterns, as some users use their devices more fully and charge them more frequently. Another reason could be climatic conditions, as many countries experienced record summer temperatures this year. However, not all iPhone 14 users encounter this problem. Some users have said that their iPhone 14 batteries hold up better than their predecessors.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of iPhone 14 battery problems. Back in May, we reported that many iPhone 14 Pro users, as well as iPhone 13 users, were reporting serious battery swelling issues. The number of dissatisfied customers seems to be increasing. Apple has not yet made a statement on this issue. The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch next month, and many are hoping this will bring improvements.
