Huawei has released HarmonyOS 4.0 in China. Earlier this week, we looked at phones and tablets eligible for Huawei’s latest OS update. You can view the entire list, by clicking here. Two of the flagships, the P60 and Mate 50, have received the stable HarmonyOS 4 update, according to recent reports surfaced on the internet. Here are the improvements and features you can expect from the update.

New features of HarmonyOS 4.0

With this update, users can now set their favorite emojis as wallpaper and choose the colors of the app icons according to the layout of the device. This operating system allows users to sort notifications by priority and group them together. For example, notifications from the same app can be grouped together, providing more detailed information about each without having to open them separately. In addition, users can now quickly select and highlight text and images with a double click. By holding the button you can save these selected items to the Super Relay Station, allowing convenient temporary storage or simultaneous sharing of multiple items.

The operating system will be equipped with a parental control system that will allow you to view the location of your child’s device using the Huawei ID. Privacy Center allows you to refine app tracking actions for specific apps and turn off tracking for specific apps.
