What to expect from Pixel Watch 2?
If the company sticks to its usual rollout schedule, the watch will be released in October this year. However, the corresponding Wear OS 4 operating system will likely be shown as well.
So far, the Pixel Watch 2 doesn’t seem like a big enough upgrade over the original, according to recent spec leaks.
The gadget appeared in the Google Play Console devices catalog on August 18 under the name Eos. This list usually shows the Android devices that developers can access and use when deploying apps, and these lists usually mention some specifications and sometimes even show images. These lists are almost always accurate enough to be taken seriously.
- Google Pixel Watch 2 to be released with a new Qualcomm SW5100 processordesigned for this kind of gadget. Last year’s version is equipped with an old Exynos 9110, which was released in 2018 and uses a 10-nanometer process, which of course affects the autonomy of the watch. So the Watch 2 should clearly be expected to have a longer runtime.
- you will also receive 2 gigabytes of RAM. There is no change in this regard, but with the new chip, the result is completely different, it should be better.
- The watch will work on a new one Wear OS 4 with a backup function.
- The second generation will come with a resolution display 384×384while the previous generation was 450×450 pixels. Previous rumors suggested that Google would use a Samsung panel.
There is very little time left until the presentation so we should expect new leaks very soon. Maybe we’ll even see the first photos of the watch, or the company will run the traditional advertising campaign where someone “accidentally forgot” the watch at a restaurant or at a bus stop.
