Popular whistleblower Digital Chat Station recently gave us some details about an engineering prototype of the OnePlus 12 series. According to the leak, it saw the flagship engineering model at the factory.
According to him, the device features a centrally curved display with a single hole in the front and a large round camera module on the back with a metal scale ring in the middle. The design highlights a four-camera system covering different focal lengths, including a wide main and periscope lens.
The prototype also showcases a metal middle frame, an advanced ultra-thin optical fingerprint scanner, a super-large X-axis engine, and an effective VC heat dissipation area that keeps the device cool during intense tasks.

In terms of specs, the upcoming OnePlus phone will feature a curved 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed using a new native substrate. The device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will offer two variants of RAM: 16 GB and 24 GB.
The rear camera of the OnePlus 12 is expected to have a 50MP IMX9xx primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 64MP 3X periscope telephoto lens. The use of Sony IMX9xx sensors in the camera system was previously confirmed by the speaker and the authenticity of the leaked details was confirmed.
Coming to the battery, the phone will pack a powerful 5,400mAh unit that offers 100W wired fast charging capabilities. Those who prefer wireless charging won’t be disappointed either; The device promises 50W wireless fast charging.
OnLeaks had previously shown images oneplus 12 is reportedly derived from actual test images of the prototype. The images show the continuity of the design of the OnePlus family, which retains the position of the previous generation camera module. The lens module features the Hasselblad logo in the middle, and the periscope is surrounded by a matte finish around the lens. According to reports, OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China later this year and global tech enthusiasts and Indian fans can look forward to its launch in early 2024.
