Sony has scheduled an Xperia product launch event for September 1, where the company is expected to unveil its new flagship smartphone, the Xperia 5 V. The phone appeared in a promotional video last month revealing the design and some of the phone’s features.

It featured dual rear cameras bearing the ZEISS T* symbol, indicating that the company was using an anti-reflective coating. It also revealed bezels at the top and bottom, a screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a notchless screen. The top panel features a selfie camera instead of a punch-hole cutout.

In addition, 3.5 mm port, metal frame and black, white and blue/gray color options appeared. The power button houses the fingerprint sensor and the phone has a dedicated camera shutter button.

It is stated that the phone will receive Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC processor, 16/12 GB RAM and 33 W fast charging support.
