A dark purple iPhone is also reportedly on the way to make room for the titan gray and navy blue iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. When the iPhone 15 is introduced next month, a familiar color option for the Pro versions of the phone will not be part of the lineup: gold.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple is abandoning the gold-plated option on new generation phones. Apple will reportedly offer the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max in a new gray option that “embraces the natural color of titanium” and a new navy blue color instead of gold.

Apple first added gold to the iPhone lineup with the iPhone 5s in 2013. Currently available on iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.
With the release of the iPhone 12 in 2021, the iPhone 13 turned green, while adding purple to the series. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are currently available in Light Purple, while the Pro versions are available in Dark Purple. It is reported that the blue version of the iPhone 15 Pro will replace the dark purple in the series.
Overall, 9to5Mac claims that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will come in space black, silver and new gray and blue colors. The standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will be available in five colors: black, green, blue, yellow and pink.
The site also states that Apple has historically added a new color to the mix in the spring, so we may see another variant as well. The iPhone 15 is expected to be announced on September 12 and retail launch on September 22.
