Realme GT 5 has finally launched in China. The high-end smartphone is the latest addition to the popular GT series and packs some powerful specs; so here you can find everything you need to know about the device such as specs, design, price and more.

Realme GT 5: design and display

Realme has partnered with BYD Electronisc for the ‘Miracle Cam’ behind the GT 5. The back of the phone has a dual-tone body and a large camera island. Like recent Pixel phones, it also has a viewfinder-like camera module, although it’s much wider. There are two camera rings on the left side of this module. On the right are rectangular LED strips (called Halo Pro) that offer different colors and a clear glass window showing the Snapdragon chipset.

On the other hand, the front panel features a long 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel also features a center-aligned punch-hole selfie camera. The new Realme GT 5 also features a standalone X7 display designed by PixelWords for an enhanced visual experience. This display offers a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits, 2,160 PWM dimming, narrow 1.46 mm bezels and a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio.

Under its hood, the Realem GT 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is noteworthy that the new smartphone is available in two different versions that differ in terms of battery capacity and charging speed. One of them has a larger 5,240mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging. The company claims that this model can reach a full charge in just 18 minutes.

The second version has a smaller 4,600mAh battery but supports an impressive 240W fast charging speed. This provides a full charge in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds of charge, giving you 2 hours of talk time. Realme GT 5 has a triple rear camera setup. Its primary sensor is the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 supporting OIS and PDAF. It works in conjunction with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front panel has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Other key features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos, Whirlwind 2.0 memory engine that lets you run 76 apps in the background, and a custom Realme UI 4.0 skin based on Android 13 operating system.

Prices, colors and availability

Realme GT 5 was announced in two color options, Flowing Silver Illusion and Starry Oasis (Green). It is also available in a variety of storage configurations. This will include the 12GB + 256GB model costing 2,999 yuan (about $411), the 16GB + 512GB model costing 3,299 yuan (about $411), and the 24GB + 1TB version costing 3,799 yuan (about $520). . .
