Google smartphones may soon receive support for satellite communications. There were hints in Google Messages’ code that the program would get the ability to send satellite messages.
There are indications that Google will be working with Garmin on this, namely the use of Garmin Response. If everything is going to be like this, theoretically, Google smartphones will be able to support satellite communication in more than 150 countries of the world.
Of course, when it comes to Google Messages, we’re only talking about software and in the context of the entire Android operating system. The technical part remains behind the scenes, but it is important because this or that smartphone hardware must support the ability to transmit data directly to the satellite.
