After numerous sources of information and rumors, Huawei has quietly launched the Huawei Mate 60 Pro smartphone in China. The smartphone combines high-end features and the round camera module on the back. The 12GB + 512GB storage variant retails at Huawei’s Vmall in China for RMB 6,999, which translates to roughly $960. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro is available in four different colors: green, white, purple and black.
Technical specifications of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro
The smartphone packs some exciting features and specifications, including a 6.82-inch Full HD+ LTPO OLED display with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1440Hz PWM dimming. It is well protected by Huawei’s Kunlun shatterproof glass.
Huawei Mate 60 Pro features a triple rear camera module consisting of a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 48 MP telephoto lens with 48 MP OIS supporting 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital magnification. The rear camera supports variable aperture. XMAGE camera system supports super night mode, super macro, in-frame macro, pro mode, slow motion, multi camera and AI photo mode. In addition, it includes 4D predictive focus tracking and many other modes so that images are not blurry. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel camera with HDR support for selfies and video calls.
The Huawei Mate 60 Pro comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 88W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 20W reversible wireless charging. IP68 rated; this means it will be water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes and protected against dust; without any additional covers or covers.

The new smartphone comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. It even supports memory expansion up to 256GB with NM memory card. In terms of connectivity, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro features a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, Wi-Fi 5/Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, satellite search, and GPS. It measures 163mm x 79mm x 8.1mm and weighs 225 grams.
In addition to the impressive hardware, the smartphone is equipped with advanced software, just like HarmonyOS 4.0, which includes features such as 3D facial recognition, artificial intelligence-based camera intelligence, and some cutting-edge photo editing apps. There is also support for AI Remote, wireless payments and Always On Display. Huawei’s own Pangu 3.0 AI model makes the system as a whole smarter and more interactive.

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro is now available in China through the Huawei Vmall store. The smartphone is available in four colors: green, silver, purple and black.
