Sony Xperia 5 V recently surfaced on GeekBench. The company’s upcoming flagship phone was spotted on the popular benchmarking platform last week. And now another option has appeared on the website, but with a larger amount of RAM.

Sony Xperia 5V GeekBench

In our previous report, the NA model of Xperia 5 V appeared on GeekBench with model number XQ-DE54. It was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SOC processor with 8GB of RAM. This model was also running Android 13. When we saw the Xperia 5 V last week, it scored 1,443 in single-core tests and 4,546 in multi-core tests.

But the latest GeekBench results are slightly higher. Sony Xperia 5 V managed to score 1966 points in a single core and 5350 points in the multi-core test. However, the most striking aspect of the listing was that the device had 16 GB of RAM. This basically confirms that the phone will launch with 8GB and 16GB RAM variants.

Since the Xperia 1 V was originally launched with 12GB of RAM for the base model, the Xperia 5 V could be a less premium version of the Sony Xperia 1 V. That’s 4GB more than the upcoming Xperia 5 V. Although other rumors hint that the Japanese tech giant may offer a device with 16GB more RAM in some markets. But they’ll likely be region-locked to certain models and won’t get a global release.
