Just a few days ago, the company stopped software support for the Redmi Note 9 and two other devices. The company has now updated the list with four new phones. According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi will no longer offer new OTA system updates for the following smartphones.
The first three products are currently running on Android 12. However, the affordable Redmi 9C continues to work with the standard MIUI 12 software based on Android 10. It received only bug fixes and security patches during its lifetime.
While Redmi K30 Ultra and Poco M2 Pro are working on the latest version of MIUI 14, their version is Android 12 which is a generation behind. Both launched with Android 10, but the Poco device was launched with MIUI 11 compared to MIUI 12 on Redmi.
