Engineers spent four weeks adding giant caterpillars to the car. As a result, they managed to turn an ordinary electric sedan into a six-ton, all-electric SUV that looks more like a transport vehicle from the movie “Mad Max”.

Tesla cars are popular with off-road enthusiasts because of their powerful electric powertrain and impressive torque. Drivers pay tribute to Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk for doing the right thing.

The mechanics would turn the Tesla into something different from a regular car. There is even a mini-tank with snow caterpillars, but the new project of German engineers is really impressive.

Such a conversion of an electric car is an expensive and difficult task. Therefore, each such project is a real surprise and satisfaction. The beast that the German engineers managed to build can certainly do more than Tesla’s long-awaited Cybertruck, and it looks much cooler.

By the way, the owners of Tesla electric cars not only turn them into tanks, but also like to copy the “firmware”. There are many enthusiasts researching the Tesla operating system and making its “changes”.

One such US Tesla electric car owner, Michal Gapinski, recently found a way to add Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto support to Tesla using a web browser, two Raspberry Pis, various plug-ins, cables and Android.

Gapinski called it the Android Tesla project. This way, you can get the Android Auto interface and access it via the car’s built-in web browser. However, the process is not quite as simple as one might expect. You can read how the enthusiast managed to crack the Tesla operating system here.
