The release of Apple’s most expensive flagship may be delayed due to production issues. This was reported by 9to5Mac.
According to well-known analyst Ming-Chi Ko, the American company has put the iPhone 15 Pro Max into production recently, so the device’s release schedule lags behind the release dates of other models. In addition, Apple has faced problems due to the fact that the launch of the flagship may be delayed by three to four weeks. On August 29, Tim Cook’s company announced that the autumn presentation of gadgets will take place on September 12.
Ko explained that the suppliers of the IT giant encountered problems in the production of the new titanium case that the 15 Pro Max will receive. The problem lies here “high machining complexity and significant design changes during development”. It also turns out that Apple has decided to abandon the solid-state volume control buttons that the 15 Pro Max should have gotten due to some difficulties. As a result, the timely appearance on sale of other models of the iPhone 15 series is not threatened.
In his report, Ming-Chi Ko stated that during the development of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple engineers encountered a problem with the placement of the battery units, but they managed to do it. Also, the company firmly decided to choose titanium as the material of its flagship case, as it is lighter and stronger than aluminum and steel.
