The Kirin 9000s in the smartphone are said to be manufactured by the Chinese company SMIC using a second generation 7nm manufacturing process and stacking. The news suggests that the chip could be used not only in the Mate 60 Pro, but also in the Mate 60.

User X shared live footage of the Mate 60 device info page. The page has confirmed the Kirin 9000s chip, revealing the specifications of the smartphone. Although Huawei is tight-lipped about chipset details, the images shared by the user show that it has an 8-core configuration with a 4+4 architecture. The frequency range of the cores is 418 MHz to 2150 MHz and Maleoon 910’s GPU is clocked between 308 MHz and 750 MHz.

All details about the chipset are not official and reports suggest it includes a CPU and GPU with microarchitectures developed in-house. Considering that the Mate 60 Pro is the brand’s top flagship offering satellite search and other features, the chip’s test results may not be very convincing.

Kirin 9000s scored 699,783 on AnTuTu; this isn’t all that impressive when compared to Qualcomm’s flagships, which usually score over 1 million. But given the secrecy surrounding the chipset, it’s best to approach this estimate with some caution.

Huawei Mate 60 has a flat OLED panel with 2688 x 1216 pixels Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors and 1440 Hz PWM dimming. It has a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and is paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera. The phone is powered by a 4,750mAh battery that supports 66W wired charging.
