Budget ZTE Changxing 50 released with 90 Hz display

Earlier this week, ZTE launched the Axon 50 Lite in Mexico, with a similar design to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The brand has launched an affordable phone called the ZTE Changxing 50 in China today. It’s priced under $130 and under the hood is a large LCD display with a Unisoc processor.

The ZTE Changxing 50 has a circular camera module on the back and a drop-shaped notch on the screen. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.52-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600×720. It supports 180Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate, and has blue light eye protection mode.

The smartphone runs on a 5G processor based on 6nm EUV technology. The chipset has an 8-core CPU architecture, a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz, and 3.2 TOPS NPU computing power. Although the official model of this processor has not been announced, according to the parameters, it is expected to be a Unisoc T760 5G processor.

Also, this new phone comes with a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. It includes a built-in 4000mAh battery, supports 5W charging, has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs Android 13 MyOS 13 right out of the box.

The ZTE Changxing 50 is listed on the company’s official website with a price tag of 899 yuan ($120). There is currently only one 4GB+128GB configuration and it comes in two colors: Gray and Blue. The phone is currently limited to sales in China, but the company may launch it to the global market in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates.
