The launch of the Apple iPhone 15 series is approaching. However, ahead of the official announcement, a new report hinted that the price gap between the base and high-end Pro models could widen further.

According to our previous reports, the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max/15 Ultra models will increase compared to the iPhone 14 Pro series models. The reasons for the higher cost are due to new premium features added such as titanium frames, improved cameras and more storage options. This increase will make the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro series around $100 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro series at launch.

This also means that the price difference between the Base and Pro models of the 2023 iPhone series will increase. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone 15 series will continue to support Apple’s revenue growth thanks to the rising prices of popular iPhone Pro models. For those who don’t know, while the high-end versions were the best-selling iPhones, the basic and plus versions did not sell well either.

So the Cupertino-based giant knows what its customers are buying. In other words, adding more premium features and increasing value will help increase revenue. Gurman adds that the updates also come to justify the $200-$300 price difference between the vanilla and Pro versions of the iPhone 15.
