Apple is using a new titanium frame for the “iPhone 15 Pro” and “iPhone 15 Pro Max” instead of a stainless steel frame, which reduces weight. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are about nine percent lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, but their body is stronger.
The use of titanium in the iPhone 15 Pro also changed the coating of the case. Previously, all iPhone Pros used mirror-finish polished stainless steel as the body material. The iPhone 15 Pro has a matte surface that reflects much less light than previous iPhone Pros and also leaves fewer fingerprints.
